FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming. Proposed method comprises billet cutting, swaging and polygon reducing. Swaging is performed in first pass with formation of preliminary recess for producing inner chamfer of one face. In second pass, inner chamfer is formed on face and outer conical surface is formed together with flange. Blunt cavity is extruded on face side adjacent to outer conical surface in three successive passes. In third pass, depth of said blunt cavity makes (1.1-1.5)d where d is diameter of said blunt cavity. In fourth pass, cavity depth is increased to (2.2-2.4)d. Then, depth of said cavity is increased to (2.5-3)d. At a time, polyhedron is reduced and flange in formed in making outer taper surface.
EFFECT: higher quality of article and tool strength.
