FIELD: packing. SUBSTANCE: hermetically sealed carton is made of carton blank by placing blank into carton with open ends. Carton is installed on support member, and flexible sheet of closing material is placed onto one of its open ends. The table arranged over open end of carton is set into operation to bend and close the edges of sheet material over side walls of carton, thus closing the carton. Then carton, in turned over position, is placed on conveyor and passed through filling section, gluing up section and flap closing section. Carton is first filled up and then side flaps are bent inwards. Gluing head unit crosses the carton over diagonal thus applying cross bead of glue onto carton flaps. Then the rest of carton flaps are bent inwards, thus closing the carton. EFFECT: improved quality of packing. 31 cl, 7 dwg
