FIELD: oil and gas production industry. SUBSTANCE: packer has tubular body with upper and lower adapters on its ends, and pressing cylinder which is telescopically mounted on tubular body at its outer side. Cylinder can move in longitudinal direction within certain limits and is fixed in initial position relative to body by means of shear member. Mounted on body between upper adapter and pressing cylinder are one central and two side deformable collars having bevelled side mating surfaces and two expanding supports which are installed on tubular body at both sides from side deformable collars for possible interaction with them and also with upper adapter and pressing cylinder. End surfaces of upper adapter and pressing cylinder interact with expanding supports. They are made chamfered towards their outer sides. Each expanding support is made up of several separate segments tightened together by resilient member. Segments have chamfered ends and are installed on tubular body and extend over its entire perimeter. They interact with mating chamfered ends of upper adapter and pressing cylinder. Their inner surfaces are chamfered and create supporting point of bending on inner surface. Segments are provided with strips installed on their ends at side of deformable collars with possible covering of annular space over perimeter of tubular body and clearances between segments during their displacement.
