FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: according to method, mining field is divided along strike into stalls, intermediate inclined workings are driven at boundaries of stalls along seam at angle to extracting drifts, and working of seam by pillars with stopping faces going across inclined workings. Auxiliary and conveyor slopes are arranged in middle of mining field, thus dividing it into rear and front stalls which are additionally divided into parts both on dipping and on strike by making additional inclined workings. Seam is worked by long pillars along strike with extending stopping faces in lower part of mining field at beginning of intermediate inclined workings, then of additional workings. Operation in upper part of mining field is performed at beginning of additional workings, then of intermediate inclined workings. In development of seams appearing under alluvium and by open and subsurface operations, inclined workings located at side of rear flange of stall upper part are driven from day surface of from quarry floor. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 cl, 6 dwg
