MINING OF GENTLY DIPPING AND INCLINED COAL SEAMS LEADING UNDER OVERBURDEN Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: while working out mine seam is divided on dip into upper and lower parts which are open, prepared and developed independently. Area of upper part is assumed to be smaller, it is mapped from inside by workings separately from workings preparing lower part of mine seam. If seams are mined by extraction columns of large extension along strike diagonal in-between inclined workings are driven and development of parts of mine seam is performed independently by columns oriented along strike starting from lower boundaries and is conducted by upward mining with crossing of in-between inclined workings by breakage faces and purification of water in worked-out spaces. If surface of mine has objects subject to protection by positioning of pillars upper part of mine seam between pillars is mapped by inclined workings conducted from surface to lower boundary of pillars and lower part is mapped separately by driving of inclined workings on flanks of field from surface to lower boundary of lower part of mine seam. While working out suite of gently dipping and inclined seams by individual mine seams integrated in one coal-extracting complex each mine seam is connected to railroad or main conveyer line of coal mining complex individually.
