FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: electrolytic moisture-sensitive element presents strip of fabric with sizes 0.1x5x15 mm with two holes at ends for attachment to plate from nonhydroscopic and electric insulation material so that fabric is placed in aerodynamic shadow with regard to gas flow to diminish velocity of flow in close vicinity to strip of fabric. Canvas from synthetic polypropylene fibers impregnated with electrolyte is employed as fabric. Such fabric with carbon fibers inserted into its structure may be used in electrolytic moisture-sensitive elements of threshold (emergency) warning devices. Chemical composition of electrolyte of saturated aqueous solutions of salts to measure relative water content within range from 2 to 70 vol.%: magnesium perchlorate Mg(ClO4)2, 3; zinc chloride ZnCl2, 7; calcium chloride CaCl2, 15; potassium rodonide KCNS, 18; sodium nitride NaON, 57. Chemical composition of electrolyte of saturated aqueous solutions of salts to measure relative water content within range from 30-100 vol. %: potassium acetate CH3COOK, 5; magnesium chloride MgCl2, 7; zinc nitrate Zn(NO3)2, 15; sodium bichromate NaCr2O7, 17; potassium bromide KBr, 22; calcium phosphate K2HPO4, 34.
