FIELD: compression of voice signal samples (10). SUBSTANCE: method involves detection of intensity level for each frame of digital samples of voice signal, selection of encoding speed of output data packet from set of possible speeds according to specific intensity level of sound signal in frame. Minimal speed corresponds to minimal intensity level, such as background noise or voice pauses, while maximal speed corresponds to maximal level of signal intensity such as active vocalization. Then each frame is encoded according to given encoding format for chosen transmission speed. Each transmission speed corresponds to specific bit length for representation of frame. Each encoded frame is converted into packet which speed conforms to chosen speed. EFFECT: increased functional capabilities. 41 cl, 8 tbl, 24 dwg
