FIELD: coding devices where input voice signal is divided into blocks or frames coded on code element basis.

SUBSTANCE: device has first coding block for finding linear predictive coding remnants of input voice signal to execute harmonic coding and second block for coding input voice signal by coding signal format. Linear coding-drive predictive means meant for second coding block makes use of vector quantization by searching for optimal vector in closed cycle using method of analysis through synthesis. First and second coding blocks are used for coding vocalized and non-vocalized parts of input voice signal, respectively. In this way plosive and fricative constants can be reproduced without risk of unwanted sound generation in intermediate section between vocalized and non-vocalized parts of voice signal.

EFFECT: enhanced quality of voice reproduction.
