FIELD: maintenance of power and telephone cable lines including those where cables are filled with insulating gas or air under gage pressure. SUBSTANCE: plant has at least one compressor, air cleaner, regenerating heat exchanger, condenser mount with built-in turbogravitational separator, electric valve for condensate dump from condenser mount, gas-separating diaphragm apparatus shut off in case of compressor stop by two check valves and second electric valve, controlled throttle with servodrive, controlled by humidity sensor signals in control unit, at least one receiver, control reducer, humidity indicator, two pressure-relay sensors, crossover air duct, and control unit. Plant incorporates water droplet separation system providing for reduced abrupt pressure fluctuations acting on gas-separating diaphragm apparatus, automatic-control system for keeping gas mixture dry at plant outlet thereby preventing premature failure of apparatus and ingress of wt air into cables.
