FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has ribbon connected to fixing member. Tourniquet ribbon is manufactured from elastomer material marked with ellipse drawing on its surface that transforms into a circle when stretching the ribbon. The tourniquet additionally has metal splint with slit on one end and chemical indicator for controlling time of tourniquet application. Indication duration is not less than 60 min. Elastomer ribbon is folded in two and its middle portion is brought through the slit in metal splint forming a loop to provide the option of applying tourniquet using one hand. The splint prevents tissue from compression overhead and retains collateral blood circulation in the tissue. Picture is drawn on elastomer ribbon surface.
