FIELD: mineral concentration; may be used in recovery of hydrophobic or hydrophobized particles, for instance, diamonds. SUBSTANCE: method includes forced contacting of watered grainy material with sticky coating after mechanical activation of useful component particles under intensive attrition conditions with their simultaneous heat treatment with high-temperature flow of liquid, superheated steam or hot air in which preliminarily introduced are oily substances and surfactants. Intensive attrition is carried out with use of water or surfactant solution after its electrochemical treatment in electrolyzer directly before their supply to process of intensive grinding. Adhesive coating is applied in its molten state, with supply of hot air or live steam, in polymolecular layer onto moving hydrophobic surface of working agent, and then it is cooled with water at direct contact of coating with material particles. Motion velocity of working member surface is taken equal to velocity of movement of material particles in zone of contact with coating. Material particles coming in contact with coating during their rolling between two surfaces of working member with coating, with these surfaces being displaced relative to each other. Process of attrition of rock particles with one another is accomplished with their compression by moving material layers and simultaneous treatment of material with high-temperature flow of liquid, overheated steam or hot air.
