FIELD: mineral concentration; may be used in withdrawal of hydrophobic or hydrophobized particles, for instance, diamonds. SUBSTANCE: method includes application of hot adhesive coating to surface of working member, cooling of adhesive coating with water, forced contacting of watered grainy material with adhesive coating, separation of stuck particles of useful component from adhesive coating, removal of particles of barren rock through process of their intensive attrition with subsequent return of remaining incompletely ground material to head of adhesive separation and withdrawal of barren rock to dump in form of slime. Forced contacting of watered grainy material with adhesive coating is effected after mechanical activation of useful component particles in intensive attrition with their simultaneous heat treatment by flow of high-temperature liquid, superheated steam or hot air. Adhesive coating is applied in its molten state by supply of hot air or live steam in polymolecular layer to moving hydrophobic surface of working member and then it is cooled with water with direct contact of adhesive coating with particles of treated material. Speed of movement of hydrophobic surface of working member is taken equal to speed of movement of particles of treated material in zone of contact with adhesive coating. Forced contacting of particles of treated material with adhesive coating is effected with their rolling between two contacting with each other flexible surfaces of working member with adhesive coating; with continuous displacement of these surfaces relative to each other. Process of intensive attrition of particles of barren rock is carried out with their volumetric compression by forced polygradient motion of concentric layers of material with simultaneous treatment of ground material with heat by high-temperature flow of liquid, superheated steam or hot air.
