FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: this can be used at final machining of lengthy articles relating to type of body of revolution of no high rigidity such as pipes and shafts. High productive capacity, improved accuracy of machining, possibility for control of roughness in process of grinding by endless abrasive belt are achieved due to double-side machining by means of single belt. Device has drive for movement of abrasive belt with kinematically interconnected tensioning and driving pulleys with spherical peripheral surface. This allows abrasive belt for quick self-positioning. Tensioning and driving pulleys are installed on plates which can be turned in vertical plane. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 dwg
