FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of ethylene polymerization ensuring to obtain polyethylene at density about 0.93 and less. Polymerization is carried out in liquid diluting agent under conditions of suspension polymerization in the presence of titanium-containing catalyst and cocatalyst. Titanium-containing catalyst is prepared by contact of titanium alkoxide and magnesium dihalide in liquid medium. Obtained solution is contacted with precipitating agent - organoaluminium compound. Obtained solid product is contacted with titanium tetrachloride before or after prepolymerization. Prepolymerized precursor of catalyst is contacted with organometallic reducing agent and washed with hydrocarbon. Alpha-olefin and ethylene are subjected for polymerization at molar ratio 1:1.
