FIELD: veterinary virology. SUBSTANCE: new strain Virus pestis carnivorum - "ВНИИВВиМ - 88 Деп" is obtained from vaccine strain ЭПМ by adaptation and cloning in subline of transplantable cells from green African monkey CV-1. Strain shows high reproducing capability and showing the specific cytopathogenic effect, accumulation of virus-specific antigen and virus at titers up to 5625-31620 ТЦД 50/cm3,, harmless, areactivity, high immunogenic activity, absence of pollution with bacteria, fungi, mycoplasmas and foreign viruses. Strain shows genetic stability, noncontagiousness and nonreveribility. Strain can be used for preparing preparations used for diagnosis and specific prophylaxis in fur wild animal and dog diseases caused by carnivorous plague virus. EFFECT: virus strain indicated above.
