FIELD: transport engineering: diesel engines for dump trucks employing electronic control of fuel feed processes. SUBSTANCE: to provide optimum economy of diesel engine, correction of its operation control is carried out by cutting off and cutting on of cylinders using load signal in form of weight Gw in dump truck body. If weight Gw is less than designed weight Gdes.w, signal is passed for regulation of diesel engine operation by cutting off and cutting on of cylinders and for injection of liquefied fuel gas on condition Gw > (0,8-0,9)Gdes.w in diesel engine speed range n < (0,5-0,6)ndes, where n is diesel engine speed range as compared with designed value ndes. Description of invention provides second version of diesel engine operation. EFFECT: reduced fuel consumption in service, decreased amount of harmful components in exhaust gases, improved dynamic and starting characteristics of diesel engine and increased service life of engine. 5 cl, 3 dwg
