FIELD: transport engineering; internal combustion engines for automobiles, tractors, road building, municipal and special self propelled vehicles; stationary and mobile power generating plants. SUBSTANCE: system has two-section liquid heat exchanger- two section crankcase with electric heaters in liquid section connected with engine cooling jacket, pump with electric drive and controlled valves and thermostat. The latter are connected with liquid cooling section of exhaust gas heat recovery unit. Design peculiarity of system is possibility of heating of cooling liquid section of two-section crankcase through heat exchanger by hot water supply source. Fan with controlled clutch and liquid pump of cooling system are made in one unit without bearings and are installed on front end of crankshaft. Temperature and oil level transmitters of automatic temperature control system are installed additionally in oil section of two section crankcase. EFFECT: increased efficiency, reliability and service life of engine, simplified design, improved starting characteristics. 5 cl, 4 dwg
