FIELD: mechanical engineering; solid propellant rocket engines. SUBSTANCE: housing has load bearing shell 1 with flanges 2,3 located at pole holes of bottom plates 4,5. Shell is lined with rubber-like heat-shielding coating 6 from inside. Ring belt zones 7 are found between coating 6 and shell 1 with flanges in bottom plates. Flanges are connected with load bearing shell by flexibly elastic gaskets 9. EFFECT: improved quality, reliability and strength of engine housing provided by use of proposed method of fastening of heat-shielding coating and shell. 2 cl, 2 dwg
