FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines; diagnostic devices. SUBSTANCE: device provides obtaining and automatic processing of data on time relationship between fuel combustion phases in all cylinders of engine and moment of delivery of ignition pulse into corresponding cylinder and also on form and duration of ignition pulse. Device has photo- and current - collecting bodies - tips installed on special spark plugs - indicators and connected with multiple-channel optoelectronic unit, number of channels being equal to number of cylinders. Each channel of optoelectronic unit has optoelectronic converter and fuel burning intensity signal amplifier. Output signals of all channels pass through controlled switches to device indicator unit, together with synchronization signals formed in this unit in parallel with output signals and determined by moments of generation of ignition pulses and spark plug firing pulses of each engine cylinder.
