FIELD: magnetic recorders for various measuring systems. SUBSTANCE: ideally designed unit of semi-block type heads has at least one of half- cores of each magnetic core made of plates of two types: hollow I-section and truncated section following shape of first-type plates but without side supporting member in rear end of half-core. Slots formed in rear part of half-cores receive U-shaped insulating inserts placed therein after fixing plates of different shapes and following configuration of internal walls of slot. Winding leads are secured in inserts inside half-cores and are brought out to flat block with pins bypassing head unit case. EFFECT: improved longitudinal and transverse recording density. 2 cl, 9 dwg
