FIELD: agricultural machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: this relates to production of organic fertilizer. According to method of processing organic waste and producing compost from organic waste, bed is being formed from compost and worms are introduced into this bed. Gradual increasing of compost layer depth required for migration of worms is effected by adding compost directly to surface course with retention of bed up to period of full growing of worms appeared from cocoons placed in bed and after complete migration from initial layer of both old and young worms. Removed is only lower layer which is fully processed. Plant for processing organic waste into biohumus has miltitier rack with vertical posts. Rack tiers are provided with pans which are used as bases for beds with compost containing worms. Vertical posts have guide members for installing additional pans so as to form new beds which are being occupied by worms migrating upwards. Rack tiers are made in the form of rows created by lines of pans. Joints of pans are located on lines of vertical posts one above other at height allowing for adding layers of compost. Guide members on vertical posts for additional pans are arranged at level of primary beds. Pans installed on them are made with sharp end edge which permits isolation of primary layer from added layer. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 5 cl, 2 dwg
