METHOD AND DEVICE FOR INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION OF VERMICOMPOST Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC C05F11/00 C05F17/05

Abstract RU 2840517 C1

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method of producing vermicompost is characterized by that the vermicomposting process is carried out in modules composed of a wooden pallet board measuring 120 × 80 × 15 cm and two wooden pallet collars with size of 120 × 80 × 20 cm, having a total working volume of 350 l, fixing on the pallet a grid with a cell size of 5-10 mm, in which holes of 3-5 cm are made on all surfaces, spunbond, a nonwoven material with density of 60 g/m is placed inside the module to prevent the earthworms losses, a substrate for the earthworms cultivation is prepared, which includes grinding and mixing in mixer of 30% of composted cow dung, 30% of lowland peat, 10% of spent blocks of oyster mushrooms, 10% of 5-day wheat germs, 10% of vegetable and fruit wastes, 10% of granulated alfalfa, wherein granulated alfalfa is preliminarily soaked in water, and grinding is carried out using shredders to fraction of 5-10 mm, then substrate for cultivation of earthworms is added with 1/20 of its volume of preliminarily obtained vermicompost-raw to obtain a fodder substrate, after that, portions of 85 l of fodder substrate with moisture content of 70-80% are loaded into each module, populated with a population of earthworms, consisting of 3 kg of Eisenia andrei and 0.5 kg of Dendrobaena veneta, and coated with nonwoven material – spunbond, in each module weekly adding feed substrate in amount of 85 l, humidification of vermisystem in modules is carried out as necessary using automatic irrigation system to maintain humidity at level of 70-80% relative humidity, after 30 calendar days each module is moved into drying zone, where raw vermicompost from each module is removed for drying to moisture content of 55-60%, and then sifted on a drum type separator, during separation, separating the earthworm adults, juveniles and cocoons, which are returned back to the module prepared for vermicomposting, the vermicomposting system is maintained by means of a cargo loader, duration of vermicomposting is 30 days, and the complete cycle of obtaining the end product – vermicompost – 40 days.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the yield of agricultural crops.
