FIELD: spectral analysis. SUBSTANCE: method determining absolute concentrations of luminescent-active atoms and/or molecules in gases includes placement of inorganic luminophor in measurement cell, filling of cell with examined gas and registration of excitation of luminescent sensor by chemiluminescence. Measurement cell filled with examined gas is injected with reference beam of luminescent-active gas of same kind ( of known standard density ) that is directed on to luminophor. Concentration of atoms and molecules in investigated volume is judged by increment of intensity of heterogeneous chemiluminescence at moment of opening of reference beam. Device determining concentrations of luminescent-active atoms and molecules in gases has measurement chamber ( cell ) where luminophor holder is anchored, leak with valve to feed examined gas into measurement chamber and photoregistration equipment. Device is inserted with channel controlled by modulator used to feed reference beam of luminescent-active gas of same kind as examined gas into measurement chamber.
