FIELD: material quality control. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nondestructive methods for controlling materials and articles and allows detecting breaks 0.3 to 0,6 mcm wide and through defects with flow about 0.01 l mcm Hg/s when using, as dye, 1,4-dimethyl-5-(4- diethylamino)azophenyl-1,2,4-triazolyum p-aminobenzoate and, as wetting agent, isopropyl alcohol with additionally added acid buffer, for example, acetic acid. EFFECT: increased sensitivity of method.
