SUBSTANCE: device functions to reproduce algorithm for diagnosing digital electronic blocks by computer-aided sequential reduction of dimensionality of range of suspected troubles. Device can operate to handle single particular trouble to confirm its probability or improbability. Device has random-number generator connected to first interface and to standard in the form of electronic model. First interface is connected to diagnostic unit which is connected to second interface. Bit-by-bit comparison unit functions to compare data coming from standard and from second interface. Bit-by-bit comparison unit is connected to first and second registers. First register passes data to control and display units and to simulating unit. Data picked off second register goes to comparison unit which is connected to first register and to random-number generator. Simulating unit is connected to random-number generator. Control unit is connected to first and second registers, comparison and display units.
