FIELD: detection of the instant of formation of fire hot-bed according to thermal radiation in the infra-red spectrum. SUBSTANCE: use is made of the spectrum ratio method for monitoring the temperature of protected objects. Luminous flux of thermal radiation is detected by an objective and divided into two fluxes by means of a beam splitter. The necessary spectrum areas are separated from them by light filters with different transmission spectra. Light flux power in each separated spectrum area is registered by photo- detectors. Signals from photo-detectors are amplified, their relation is determined, which after averaging is applied to the threshold detector. When it exceeds a definite value, an electric signal of fire origination is produced at the detector output. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 1 dwg
