FIELD: dismounting nuclear power plants. SUBSTANCE: method involves installation of component and its holding in front of cutting edge of spalling tool whose angle of inclination to supporting surface is actually 30 deg., feeding of component to cutting edge, and return of tool to working position. Operations are repeated as many times as required. Cutting device has support for mounting power plant component and spalling tool with cutting edge, facilities for controlling the tool, holding and feeding the component, as well as facilities for shifting component away from tool.
