DEVICE FOR TWO-WAY COMMUNICATION BETWEEN TRANSMITTER/RECEIVER UNITS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2109402 C1

FIELD: communications engineering. SUBSTANCE: communication system has headquarters station hereinafter referred to as controller and one or more remote or satellite stations each reference to as commutator. Controller effects distribution, control, and communication with commutators which are located within the range of its transmission. Commutators receiving certain data transmitted from controller form network for this controller for the period of transmission. Controller is sole generator of electromagnetic radiation which it modulates with information related to its inherent identity, records it receives, and information it transmits. Each commutator modulates and re-radiates received information using backscattering. Controller functions to initiate communication with each commutator by setting communication through telephone exchanger with unique communication channel which will maintain it with this commutator. After channels are set, controller orders transmission over communication channel with each commutator again with respect to sequential integrated data interchange. Controller seeks continuously new commutators entered in its network and deactivates ordered communication with commutators whose transmission is terminated. When network is inactive because of absence of commutators or because neither of them needs messages or data exchange, controller orders transmission over communication channels at reduced speed. EFFECT: simplified design of commutator due to use of re-radiation by backscattering, improved receiver sensitivity in controller. 31 cl, 28 dwg
