FIELD: electrodeposition of composite coatings. SUBSTANCE: method includes the process of coating deposition from electrolyte containing ions of deposited metal and insoluble particles in suspended state with application to bath of ultrasonic vibrations directed parallel and perpendicular to cathode surface. The plant for embodiment of the method has electrolytic bath accommodating anode and cathode and source of ultrasonic vibrations. In this case, the source for excitation of ultrasonic vibrations parallel to cathode surface is made in the form of bath bottom or its part, and source of ultrasonic vibrations perpendicular to cathode surface is made in the form of bath wall or its part located behind anode made perforated with holes uniformly spaced over the entire surface of anode and occupying about 50% of its area with size commensurable with length of ultrasonic wave.
