FIELD: electroplating of articles from steel, aluminium and other metals; applicable in mechanical engineering, instrumentation engineering and other industries. SUBSTANCE: method of electroplating includes successive deposition of coating layer from electrolyte at straight current polarity, removal of a part of this coating at opposite polarity, and final deposition of coating at straight current polarity. In so doing, electrolyte is exposed for the whole process to ultrasonic vibrations, and in coated article ultrasonic vibrations of resonance frequency are additionally excited with the use of electrolyte containing ultradispersed phase.
