FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: contact gear for vacuum arc chute is manufactured in the form of helical current conductive circuit with arc-resistant contact on butt. Circuit includes at least one pair of elements of rectangular section rolled into spiral and having different electric conductivity which dimensions and materials are selected from condition that resistance of element of spiral with low electric conductivity measured over its thickness is higher than resistance of element of spiral with high electric conductivity measured over its operational length.
