FIELD: fire-fighting equipment, in particular, fire extinguishers in which sources of compressed gas required for ejection of fire-extinguishing substance are used in the form of gas-generating cartridges. SUBSTANCE: fire extinguisher consists of vessel with throat closed with cover with the help of nut, and packing ring, cartridge chamber with agitator, and gas-generating cartridge, siphon pipe and supplying device, starting device consisting of firing pin with striker, firing spring, wedge-like cotter with ring, flat shaped springs with retainers at their ends and roller in striking pin ear. Throat of fire extinguisher has internal recess. Starting device has flat shaped springs of reciprocal action rigidly secured to ring, with retainers at the ends located in radial channels of cover and entering the annular recess of the throat. Internal projections of springs are installed on firing pin shoulder, and external projections are installed on cover internal surface. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
