FIELD: fire-fighting equipment, particularly, powder means of fire extinguishing; applicable in development of designs of fire extinguishers. SUBSTANCE: fire extinguisher has filled with powder vessel with siphon tube, fluffer, compressed gas source communicated with fluffer channel, device for distance of gas-powder mixture and loosening device in form of compressed conical spring. In addition, fire extinguisher has mechanism keeping springs in compressed state. Said mechanism presents outer bead on tube and strip with transverse recess and coming into it longitudinal recesses in its central part located between bead and spring. Strip envelops siphon tube with its longitudinal recess. Width of transverse recess is larger than bead diameter. Channel accommodates pusher and strip end. With gas supplied, pusher pushes strip end out of channel and displaces strip up to coincidence of transverse recess with bead. Spring becomes freed and its releasing turns loosen powder mass. Strip, sharply lifted by spring, functions as additional loosing device. Pusher is thrown by gas jet out of channel and gas-powder mixture is directed to fire seat. Powder is fluted by gas jet coming to vessel through freed channel. EFFECT: higher efficiency of powder loosening due to full use of working stroke of loosening device. 2 dwg
