FIELD: lifting and transportation facilities; mine hoists. SUBSTANCE: lift has load-carrying member arranged in shaft 2 along guides 4 and coupled with drive connected to supply circuit. Lift drive is made in form of linear motor whose stator is mounted on car and rotor, on shaft over its entire height. Load-carrying member has stops consisting of electromagnet with pull-in armature. Slots for stop armature are made in guides. Stator windings of linear motors, member 1 and stop windings are connected in series to other. Linear motors are installed at car corners. Second half of linear motors is installed in shaft. Number of linear motors is equal to number of primary members installed on load-carrying member.
