FIELD: amateur and sports fishing. SUBSTANCE: hook setter - shock absorber consists of two rings fitted on ends of springs - loaded levers. To provided hook setting at biting and absorbing the jerks at fighting, each ring is connected with lever along its axis so that at compressing of levers and bringing one ring behind the other, other surfaces coincide and are located in one plane forming acute angle with lever plane, and fishing line passed through base of levers and rings, with starting part placed in line between rings, holds the rings at stop being clamped with effort depending on value of angle. Shock absorption of jerks when fighting the fish makes it possible to use fine fishing line for fishing making fishing more attractive and increasing yield.
