FIELD: method of manufacture of hollow articles from thermoplastic sheets, for instance, protective packing containers from PVC sheets, etc. SUBSTANCE: method consists in that upper plate of forming unit is heated up to preset temperature, sheet is clamped between plate and die and pressed to air heating plate. After contact heating of sheet it is subjected to straight pressure forming by compressed air supplied through hole in upper plate. Then, formed article after cooling is withdrawn. Sheet is pressed to heating plate with the aid of excessive pressure from the side of die. EFFECT: provision of uniform qualitative and stable heating of film, and equalization of film properties and flattening out of creases. 3 cl, 1 dwg
