FIELD: corrosion protection. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protectors serving for corrosion protection of hulls and other metal objects and structures operating in seawater. Protector alloy contains (in wt %): aluminum, 0.5-0.7; manganese, 0.1-0.3; cadmium, 0.2-0.4; silicon, 0.005-0.025; and zinc, the balance. EFFECT: zinc-based alloy contains no toxic components and exhibits satisfactory electrochemical characteristics. 2 tbl
