FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: anode protector includes a cylindrical body from magnesium alloy with a seat along the axis in one of its edges, as well as a contact steel bar provided with a threaded section on one of the ends and with the length that is smaller than the length of the cylindrical body, in which it is fixed along the axis by casting with location of the threaded section in the seat with the edge below the plane of the cylindrical body edge; at that, magnesium alloy of the cylindrical body contains aluminium, zinc, manganese and zirconium as alloying components, as well as iron, copper and nickel, which are controlled impurities, in the following ratios, wt %: aluminium 9.0-10.0; zinc 2.0-4.0; manganese 0.1-0.50; zirconium 0.005-0.02; iron not more than 0.003; copper not more than 0.004; nickel not more than 0.001; magnesium is the rest.
EFFECT: enlarging the complex of electrochemical protection devices, increasing service life of anode protector, improving its assembly effectiveness, reliability of contact of the protector material with contact steel bar, improvement and stabilisation of the main electrochemical properties of the anode protector.
