FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: protector from magnesium alloy is proposed. Alloy contains the following, wt %: Mg - 98.91-99.41; Pb (or Sn) - 0.505-1.005; impurities: Fe≤0.003; Si≤0.04; Ni≤0.001; Cu≤0.003.
EFFECT: developing the protector on the basis of magnesium alloy with high electrochemical and technical parametres, and namely maximum quantity of electric energy from the unit weight of protector, minimum value of self-dissolution which is caused by protector metal corrosion, maximum operation duration of protector, and maximum current force in protector -pipeline circuit.
