FIELD: hydraulic engineering, automatic clearing of water from suspended and bottom drifts and feeding it to pumps, open and closed irrigation systems. SUBSTANCE: water intake purifier includes feeding bed 2 housing gauze cylindrical drums 1 placed in parallel to direction of water flow installed telescopically on to corresponding intake pipe with one end face for rotation with the aid of turbines mounted inside drums 1 and with another end face on proper support facing water flow. Intake pipes are connected to forebay 6 in which water intake band there are made flushing holes communicating with discharge pipe 11. Drums have corrugated outer surface, rotate in same direction and are mounted in parallel one another so that protrusions on surface of one drum 1 match recesses in surface of another.
