FIELD: mining and oil refining industries. SUBSTANCE: mud cleaning system includes trough connecting the wellhead with vibrating screen, hydrocyclone system with vessels for mud collection and pumps. Hydrocyclones and vessels are installed successively by stages of cleaning. Mud collection vessel of the last stage of cleaning has partition separating the vessel into main and additional compartments and is installed above mud collection vessel of the preceding stage and above receiving vessels of mud pumps. Additional compartment is connected by means of pipeline with receiving vessels, and main compartment is connected with supply line from hydrocyclone and provided with pipeline having regulating device of discharge to vessel of preceding cleaning stage. Upper edge of this pipeline is found below the upper edge of partition. Regulating device is used in form of ring installed on upper end of pipeline and connected by means of tie-rod with float in preceding vessel. This makes it possible to maintain the level of drilling mud in vessel to provide for operation of pumps.
