FIELD: veterinary immunology. SUBSTANCE: method involves blood sampling from animal, preparing 2.5% suspension of citrate blood and 2.5% suspension of washed off erythrocytes. Then citrate blood and washed off erythrocytes taken from the same animal are mixed separately with standard set of soluble bacterial and/or viral antigens. This mixing is carried out simultaneously. Result of reactions is recorded. The presence of this antigen in animal blood is diagnosed at positive erythrocyte reaction agglutination with any antigen and negative reaction of citrate blood with the same antigen. The presence of immune status with respect to this antigen in animal organism is diagnosed at positive erythrocyte agglutination or its absence with any antigen and positive reaction of citrate blood with the same antigen. Method can be used for express-diagnosis of diseases of viral and bacterial etiology. EFFECT: accelerated identification of viral and bacterial pathogens, enhanced effectiveness of immune status evaluation. 3 tbl
