FIELD: agriculture, in particular, feed and sugar beet cultivation. SUBSTANCE: method involves performing precision, small seeding rate or single-grain drilling; providing first cultivation with following single or double mellowing of soil depending on soil state and weediness extent. Mellowing is conducted by combined tool at the stage of appearance of 3 to 5 pairs of leaves. Strips of 5-10 cm width adjacent to protective zone are tilled by cutters for 4 cm depth. Soil in protective zone and rows is mellowed in transverse strips at an angle of 60-90 deg relative to row axis with interval of 5-10 cm at variable depth of 3-7 cm by means of finger ripper and, simultaneously, overall tillage of soil in rows and spacings is carried out by rotary tools for depth of up to 4 cm. Method allows up to 95% of weedage to be eliminated. EFFECT: increased efficiency in weed control and simplified method. 3 dwg
