FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves undercutting stubble cover at both sides of row axis for distance of 10-12 cm by cutting furrows of 3-4 cm width and depth; providing undercutting of strip soil between furrow center and protective zone of row having width of 4-6 cm and arranged symmetrically with respect to row center to depth exceeding sowing depth by 1-2 cm; sowing crop seeds and providing soil covering of sown zone and strip covering of protective zones for width of 6-7 cm. Apparatus has replaceable working tools attached to drill. Drill has beam 1 attached to seeding unit, front and rear covering rolls, seeding unit, and shank. Replaceable working tools have curved brackets fixed to beam at left-hand and right-hand sides of seeding unit, longitudinal planks attached to brackets at height of 25-27 cm from rolls supporting surface, holders provided with screw devices for retaining of working tools, and spherical protective cutting disk. Convex surface of protective disk is facing seeding unit. Protective disk is arranged forward of and laterally to seeding unit on plank and is attached to it by holder. Side flat hoes are mounted behind protective cutting disk in spaced relation to one another at space of 8-10 cm and attached to plank by means of holders. Chain-type sweep is arranged behind rear roll and fixed to beam. Strip end part of side flat hoe is beveled at an angle of 20-30 deg with respect to cutting edge.
