FIELD: fish farming. SUBSTANCE: organic rock, such as coals of various varieties and/or detrite, is added to water body such as lake or pond. Coal is added to water in place favoured by fish so that contact of coal with water would take place at point where fish are used to put on weight and to fatten. If water body is river, coal is fed into water at point located between fish spawning area and fish fattening place, and/or coal is fed at fish fattening place. Alternately, water can be brought to contact with coal by changing river bed so that river would flow over natural coal deposit. EFFECT: expanded nutritional base for fish. 4 cl, 1 tbl
