FIELD: rearing of mussels on floats by half-cyclic technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves exposing collectors with mussels to metabolites of natural population of mussels subjected to the action of conditions strained for development of population, such as raring of population by removing 5-20% of species or exposing to climatic conditions unfavorable for development of colonies. Method allows mussel growth rate to be enhanced and part of soft tissues in conch to be increased from 15-30 to 40-60%. EFFECT: increased efficiency and simplified method. 6 cl, 2 tbl
