FIELD: fish industry, in particular, marine culture.
SUBSTANCE: method involves cultivating mussels in coastal zone of Northern seas in rearing pond enclosure farm together with salmon family fish; forming collectors as strips of cloth 3 m long and 30 cm wide; providing lower side of strip with load having weight sufficient for dipping of collector; using constructions of floating platform of rearing pond enclosure as collector carriers; performing stationary fixing of collectors for collecting of mussels spat on outer and inner sides of platform during period of from June to September, said collectors being spaced apart from one another by distance of about 1 m; dipping collectors to 0.5-1.0 m depth from water surface; cultivating mussels settled on collectors without changing position of collectors in two or three year cycle depending on product processing plans; on termination of set cycle, harvesting mussels yield, preferably at the end of May or in June.
EFFECT: provision for biological productivity of mussels, improved quality of resultant product, substantially improved conditions for cultivation of salmons and improved ecological situation in the region of setting of rearing pond enclosures since mussels are active filtrates.
