FIELD: mechanical engineering, multitransition machining of parts on machines of drilling group during several runs. SUBSTANCE: unit limiting travel of quill of machine is manufactured in the form of multiposition rest of support located on machine fixture fixed with the aid of clamp on quill and intended for sequential contact of rests of multiposition rest. Mentioned unit is fitted with indicator anchored on its support meant for sequential contact of rest together with support. Rotation axis of multiposition rest is parallel to axis of machine spindle. Conventional names of transitions corresponding to rests are marked on face surface of multiposition rest near proper rests.
