FIELD: fuel tanks for aircraft; fuel tank composite panels. SUBSTANCE: fuel tank has pressure resistant composite panel with inner fiber-reinforced layer, outer fiber-reinforced layer and core in between. Inner layer has weakening structures at peripheral edges, and outer layer has modulus of elasticity smaller than that of inner layer to provided some degree of relative elongation. Reinforcement strips are arranged around panel so that it is divided into separate sections. Inner core can be made of breakable material with yield point sufficient to create support of structure under normal operating conditions. EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation. 10 cl, 7 dwg
