FIELD: protective devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a thermally expanded and electroconductive material. Technical result is achieved by thermally expanded and electroconductive material capable of providing protection against lightning strike and resistance to burn-through. Material comprises a non-woven mat with randomly arranged electroconductive fibers, thermally expandable particles, included or distributed throughout said mat, and a curable matrix resin containing one or more thermosetting resins and a hardener. Electroconductive fibers and the thermally expanded particles are embedded in the curable matrix resin.
EFFECT: technical result is lightning protection and resistance to burn-through of the material.
